Saint Joseph was the foster father of Jesus and by profession he was a carpenter. Every catholic knows the history of this man. He stands in place of all men, who look after children, who marry women with children and who have the strength not to be influenced. The 19th of March is his nameday, and it was at least in Bavaria over the century a holiday. Nobody could count the men who have been named after him on this planet. You can hear his name in every language thinkable. Saint Joseph is the Patron Saint of carpenters, the Croatian people and of our hour of death. In the Louvre is the most beautiful painting of him and Jesus, painted by the Georges de la Tour and it has been inspired by the Saint, that much is sure.
