Info zur Skulptur "St. Eva of Liege with letter for the pope"

The depiction of St. Eve is as a nun with letters from the pope and book.
Eve of Liège was persuaded by Julianna of Liège to live a life as a hermit and to fight for the feast of the Blessed Sacrament. The coronation of Pope Urban IV inspired them to continue their mission and their hopes were indeed fulfilled: he introduced the feast of Corpus Christi. Eva was beatified in 1902.
