Info zur Skulptur "St. Joseph with Child wooden Statue"

Joseph lived in Nazareth and worked as a carpenter. When Joseph learned that his fiancée Mary was pregnant, an angel appeared to him in a dream and explained to Joseph that the child came from the Holy Spirit. Joseph accepts Jesus as his child and teaches him the trade of carpenter. The name day of St. Joseph is celebrated on March 19, while St. "Joseph the Worker" is celebrated on May 1.
St. Joseph is considered the patron saint of married couples and families, children and young people, educators, carpenters, woodcutters, joiners, craftsmen, workers and engineers.
He is also regarded as the patron saint in times of housing need, temptation and desperate situations and for a peaceful death.
Our wooden figure of St. Joseph is depicted with a child, the infant Jesus.
