Karol Jozef Wojtyla was born on May 18, 1920 in Poland and it was surely nobody there who could have predicted his life. In this man and his life we truly see the power of God ruling a human destiny in a miraculous, almost unbelievable way. This Polish man became Pope of the Roman Catholic church from October 16, 1978 until his death on April 2, 2005 in Vatican City. The opening of the East almost certainly goes back to his blessed work. He loved man and he forgave his assassinator. Nobody who was able to meet him, will ever forget Pope Wojtyla.
